The STEM Leadership Experience is an immersive, hands-on afterschool workshop designed to teach laboratory practices while building relationships between high school students and STEM professionals.
During this workshop, students will be paired with scientist mentors from MedImmune/AstraZeneca for a hands-on lab activity, exploring enzymatic activity by investigating the mechanism behind lactose intolerance. Following the lab, the mentors (including Head of MedImmune, Bahija Jallal!) will answer student questions and share their personal stories about their career path, what their job is really like, and how they came to work in STEM.
Registration is free but is limited to 20 students. Register here >
